What Is HubSpot?
HubSpot is a customer platform built on a free CRM, with paid ‘hubs’ bolted on around it for marketing, sales, service, content and operations. Use one. Use all of them. The CRM underneath stays the same either way.
What each one is for
| Hub | What it does |
|---|---|
| Smart CRM | The free foundation: contacts, companies, deals, tasks |
| Marketing Hub | Email, landing pages, forms, campaigns, contact-based pricing |
| Sales Hub | Sequences, quotes, forecasting, deal automation |
| Service Hub | Tickets, knowledge base, customer feedback |
| Content Hub | Website and blog hosting, formerly CMS Hub |
| Operations Hub | Data sync, quality tools, programmable automation |
The honest fit
Teams that sell to other businesses over a stretch of weeks, not crews that close in a single visit. If you quote on Monday and get paid on Tuesday, HubSpot is more machine than you need. A field service tool will serve you better.
The gaps
It is not field service software. No scheduling board, no dispatch, no app for the crew. It does not ask your customers for reviews either. And on Marketing Hub the price scales with the size of your contact list, so growth costs you money in a way the CRM on its own does not.
The step after closed-won
HubSpot marks the deal won and stops there. Trophy Jar picks it up and asks that customer for a Google review, the thing that brings the next deal through the door. The $9 plan includes 100 texts a month, the $19 plan includes 1,000, all sent from your own local number. We handle 10DLC registration for US businesses.
